I'm upgrading the memory for my desktop that only has 512MB right now. I don't know too much about memory so what should I look for and how exactly do you install it?
I'm looking to get 1 GB for a good price. I think it's around 50 bucks at NewEgg.com and that seems pretty damn good.

What kind of RAM does your computer take? That's a big thing to know. Post a link to the ram you're planning on getting.

How do I find what RAM my computer takes? I have no specific ram I'm planning on getting, I just wanted to find out what I needed to look for first.
