Trying to kill myself because on Sunday I have a rush D&D game to prep for, and my Saturday is going to be spent either doing housework, paperwork, or suicide work, followed by actual work, and then an immediate sleepover because in order to attend the one event I actually do want to, I have to attend 3 that I don't. Including Spiderman 3...I'd rather bash my face into a bucket of rusty nails than see that movie, but I have to, because it's the only way I can spend time with my friends.

Gee, I hope you realize that the second I don't have to bend myself over backwards just to spend time with my friends is the second I stop venting about it. I guess I'm just tired of listening to all of them bitch how they never get to have fun when in reality, that's most of their life, yet when I do it, I'm a whiny little prick. And the fun thing is...I wouldn't be pissed off if I ever got a say in what we were doing, instead of being told what they want to do and either going along with it or sitting at home alone.

So yeah, I guess having your opinion mean jack shit to the friends that depend on you in their day to day lives isn't a sacrifice for three hours of fun every...few weeks. It makes up for all the bitching, criticizing, and all in all shit sandwich I swallow in order to keep my group of friends. I mean hell, I haven't been shot yet.

I think your posts make it plenty clear that either these people aren't your friends or you don't really want to be their friend.

I don't know if you're lying to yourself or to them; I just think you'd be happier in the long run if you told the truth...if that means striking out on your own, so be it.

Truth is, they're fun people, except each has a personality trait that they refuse to admit is a problem to anyone around them, and I've been bitched at incessantly because not wanting to take help from people on projects I can handle and enjoy doing myself is 'being proud'. Yet it's fine that my friend's wife turns into a shrew when we discuss one of our hobbies.

I was at a friends house geeking it out watching anime all day.

That fucking drained me... I love anime, but man my eyes hurt after watching it all day. We didn't have enough people to play any games. The weather sucked so sports are out the window... But the anime we watched kicked ass.

and I have to wake up early on a bloody Saturday, but for good reason though. Me and the girl I have a thing for are hosting a robots workshop all day tomorrow. Helping people of all ages build robot kits, and have the bots duke it out sumo-style when they are complete! Kickass!

I went to a contra dance that was about an hour and 20 minutes away so my friend could see the girl he likes, rather than going to the local one with better dancers.
