I'm a pretty scranny guy, 5' 5", about 120lbs. While my arms are pretty thin, neck, etc. all the weight goes to my stomache. It may very well be genetic as my Dad's stomache hangs over his belt, his brother, my grandfather, but damn am I tired of this pot belly. I was thinking standard crunches every morning, but I also heard somewhere that this is going to build muscle...under the fat in my stomache...which will make all my efforts pointless. Any ideas? I can offer pics if needed.

Yep, it will make you stronger but won't make your stomach any flatter. It's all in diet.

I used to have that. I just cut my calorie intake by 500 cals/day and worked out for 45 min, three times a week. It worked well.

Or there's the time when I didn't eat for a week because I got my wisdom teeth out. My stomach was perfect, but then again.. not recommended.
