I mean, I like having everyone around and all, that's cool, but it seems like there's less chance for traffic now. I liked the security of being attached to a big site, with a link everyone can access. Or am I just imagining things and there's really been more traffic here than there was at GD? It seems a little of the fury of activity that we saw the first day or two is subsiding, which kinda sucks. But GD wasn't active even though it was attatched to a big site. There's less chance for new members here, surely, but it seems like nobody wants any.

I don't like traffic. I like driving all over the road without having to worry about killing innocent people.

We're getting more traffic then we had in over a year.

Eh. It feels good to be back how we started again. Let's worry about getting all our oldies back and then we can focus on what we want to do about promotion.

I think all of us would love to see some new members on here though, especially since we can have some control again over who comes in.

We don't really have a choice, do we? If you want more people, invite more people. I'm personally happy with it not being GameDaily 2. Of course it would be nice to have more traffic, more topics and posts, but we don't.

It's not as if we can still go to GD and we choose to go here. As far as I see it, this is it...like it or not. I don't want to sound rude, and I'm not talking about any one person in particular, but either shut up and post or log out and go away.

That's what I'm worried about. I'm afraid it'll just kind of slow down more and more, and then stop. I don't know, I guess I'm just adjusting to something new.

With GD it felt like we didn't know who had ultimate control over the board. Apparently it looks like someone who didn't give a shit.

I like this, but yeah, I am afraid of this place dying because there is no chance of getting new members unless people actively recruit.

That's my biggest concern, really.

I was wondering where you went near the end.


I invited a friend to GD a few weeks back and he pretty much fit in immediately, even though he didn't make that many posts. I think he probably doesn't fit in nearly as well here, since 95%+ people go back a few years with eachother. Not that I've asked him, since I'm straight. But he hasn't even posted since he signed up here.


I'm not ecstatic about the setup, as many seem to be, but I like it more in some ways. Less in some.

In which ways? I don't see how GameDaily was any better than what we have going right now, or what advantages it has over this place (besides getting more members). If anything it has nearly every feature that everyone was moaning for when he were under GameDaily's control.

A few days and you're already worried about this place and going after each other. Just ride it out and see where it goes. All it takes from each of you is some typing and clicking to keep this place going. If you want new members, tell your friends, or - I know many of you aren't for this but it's what we did in the beginning - subliminally advertise it on LUE and LL.

It will last as long as you guys want it to last. If you want to whine about stuff, well, it does still create more posts. More posts = this place stays around longer.
