Anyone happen to know anything about these?

Good deal?

I'll probably know what Morris offers within the next couple weeks, but how good are college discounts on computers, generally?

Edit: I'm not looking for anything ...snazzy. I don't play any games anything like that. I'm usually running Opera, utorrent, Foobar/Winamp (perhaps iTunes in the future), Trillian, and sometimes OpenOffice, DC++, and media player classic. Would those + Vista work well with 1GB of RAM? Or would it be better to go to XP with that?

I don't know about the discount but I have to say anyone I know with an Acer has ended up not happy at all. And usually locked in an argument with Acer about how many times they need fixed.

Yeah, I'd avoid Acer computers, especially notebooks. They have a very bad reputation in terms of support and warranty service, and their bundled software and services are some of the most invasive in the industry, they're borderline spyware.

I always suggest Toshiba or Gateway for notebooks, personally. Toshiba for the quality of their hardware, Gateway for their level of support.

I'm more of a Mac laptop guy, and I've heard only really bad things for Acer computers... Monitors, however, are pretty good.

My friend has one of those Acer tablets and let's just say he missed his chance to dodge that bullet.

Alright, I'll stay away.

Get lenovo (IBM), Dell or Gateway for notebooks.
