Romance, comedy, drama, superpowers, and gore. I don't think I've ever had my gut wrenched in so many directions by a single series. What others should I look into that are like this?

Elfen Lied is the shit. I love the beginning and end of the series a lot. The emotional stuff was really good. I remember I downloaded Elfen Lied because I wanted the gore of Hellsing with some boobs. I got a lot more.
Lucy's goodbye is still shiver worthy. Although, I really think that her staying in her Nyu form (or dying) is really the only choices she had, she was way too messed up to live.

Oh my gosh, i just watched the entire show in a few days, based on this thread. it was decent, very heart-wrenching.
