The Clown
Nothing AT ALL to look forward to for the Pirates. They had a front-office shakeup, but nothing on the field has changed. Hopefully they sell on everyone they can at the deadline to stock the minors with prospects and accept the fact that they'll suck for a few years. It's better than the old front office strategy of "hire 35+ year old wash-ups for 8 mil or more."

The White Sox had some good pick ups with Nick Swisher and Orlando Cabrera in trades and signing Scott Linebrink and Octavio Dotel in free agency so they have someone good in the bullpen besides Bobby Jenks. The starting pitching situation is kind of iffy though with only two reliable starters and with getting rid of Garland. Johan Santana is gone but the AL Central is still stacked with the pick ups the Tigers made in the offseason and the Indians still looking solid so they are still a bit of a long shot to win the division.

I look forward to going the Metrodome drunk and fighting multiple White Sox fans.

Can't wait to see how the yankees look rotation wise this year. If Hughes and Kennedy can hold their own, we get a 15 win season from Pettite, and another cy young notable season from Wang, then they should beat Boston.

Delmon Young now plays for my team, I don't need to be classy.

edit: although my little brother met him at the Spring Training camp and said he was nice but then again he is 11.

The games may not mean anything, but people are playing baseball again. It warms my heart.

Holy shit is the Barry Zito signing like one of the worst in baseball history. He was tossing his fastball at 84 mph on Monday. He looks he is going to get tommy john's and he probably will never get his velocity back.
