Took forever but I finally got a job through a friend's connection at a brewery warehouse in the adjacent town to Eugene. I'm a beer merchandiser and it pays $10/hr. with 30 hrs/wk. to start and going up to full-time from May-October.

Totally not the job I expected, but I'll take it at this point. Morning hours, I drive around to various markets and stores and stock beer and set up displays. Not too shabby. Plus I can still work on my photography and other stuff in the meantime.

I don't live in Portland, that's two hours of north of here. I live in Eugene, and jobs are incredibly hard to find here. I went through two agencies and hundreds of newspaper and Craigslist ads and never got a single hit until now, and this one was through a friend's connection.
