I love 'trying' out new software, but typically it doesn't get me excited. A few months ago I was looking at a changelog for Trillian and I found their sneak preview for a new IM Client called Astra, which looks amazing. You can read more about it here:
http://www.ceruleanstudios.com/ap/For any fellow IM fanatics it's definetly worth checking out.

I just started using Astra, build 34, but it never connects to any of my accounts when I start the program up even though it's set to. And when I edit the screen names to reflect my friend's names, it always erases the edits. Other than that, it's not bad. Once it's released it looks like it'll be quite nice.

Where can I try Astra? Do you need to have bought Pro or anything?

I downloaded it off LueLinks, with a crack. I think if you try it from Cerulean's website, Astra is only good for 1 log in, and then it won't work after that. I'll PM you.

Wait, what? lol.
1 login? No...
See the purpose of Trillian Astra is to sync with the server and store your contacts there. Then you can not only access it anywhere you go, but you will be more secure having all of your connections managed from the Trillian server.
If you don't login again after your first time...1.)Trillian Astra doesn't remember passwords to help go toward security. 2.)The plugin could've been disabled.

Thanks, Endless.
Is there no chat support for AIM yet because I can't find it.

That's what someone at LueLinks said, so that's what I was gong by.
Sounds neat. Looking forward to its release.
EDIT: I, uh, threw my name into the alpha testing signup sheet, even though I'm sure I've signed up behind about 50 billion people. Never hurts to try.

You need to enable the plugin. Go to your preferences, click plugins and enable AIM. Go to Manage Connections and add new AIM connection.

I meant chat room stuff. I can IM people on AIM and all, but I can't figure out how to get into the Errors chatroom.
