There's no reason anyone should be using that word. It's a racial epithet or a time long past but the fact of the matter is, many members of the black community have taken it and made it into a term of endearment when used by one black person to another, there will always be a stigma if a white person uses that word (but oddly enough, most hispanics can get away with it)

People are saying "what? those black people could dish it out but they couldn't take it?" I think it's different for Richards though, because he is a comedian (I guess), and should therefore be capable of handling hecklers politely, as it's just part of the job.

I don't care about what he said. I don't feel bad for the audience members. I laughed when I watched the video, just as I would have laughed if he had exploded at Asians or Indians or whoever the hell else. It was funny, but it was very unprofessional, and I think Richards is going to be facing some seriously negative consequences.

I wasn't impressed with his apology. I feel as though Jerry made him do it.
