Hilary Clinton is gonna win the Democratic bid, everyone hates Hilary so they vote republican. we have another republican in thw white house. GOD I HATE HER.

Eeeexcatly. We can all see the script, but the party can't.

QUOTE(Usurper @ Aug 8 2007, 03:15 PM) *

Yeah, that's pretty much how I predict it will go. However, we can't say that all Republicans will automatically be bad, just because Bush was.

Indeed. The parties are basically the same anyway. There's too much red tape and appealing to the majority for either party's candidate to be too radical, so instead we have two candidates that sort of disagree on certain issues while agreeing on everything else.

so Obama is doing well on preserving the tradition of incompetence in presidential candidates.

QUOTE
WASHINGTON - U.S. Democratic presidential contender Barack Obama has been trying to burnish his foreign policy credentials.

So it didn't help when he called Canada's leader a "president" during a debate Tuesday in Chicago.

Asked what he'd do about the North American trade deal, Obama said it needs changes, so he'd "immediately call the president of Mexico (and) the president of Canada."

"Our trade agreements should not just be good for Wall Street, it should also be good for Main Street," he told his union audience.

When it comes to global affairs, Obama has been sparring with his first-place rival Senator Hillary Clinton, who's intent on showcasing her experience and his rookie status.

She didn't mention the Canada slip.

But she criticized Obama, a one-term senator, for answering a hypothetical question about a nuclear attack on Pakistan and announcing he'd send U.S. forces into Pakistan to catch terrorists if there was actionable intelligence about their location.

"You can think big," said Clinton, "But remember you shouldn't always say everything you think if you're running for president because it has consequences across the world."

I wouldn't bash him on that, it's not enough of a mistake to really say he is incompetent. Obama is perhaps one of the most qualified people to talk about Foreign affairs (next to Joe Biden), so all this crap about him being horrible at it, is just MSM chit-chat.

Also, to get on Hillary Clinton for a minute. I really don't buy this "Everyone hates Hillary so the Democrats will lose" B.S. people are trying to spew. She really has a shot and "The Right" right now is scared of her. Already, they are predicting her to be the Democratic candidate.

The Republican party right now is in a downturn with the nation, and the Democrats can really use that to their advantage to win this election. To say Clinton has no chance is an absurd and short sighted comment. It will most likely be a Hillary vs. Giuliani or Thompson ticket. If you look at the polls (not exact), people are divided between Giuliani and Hillary, it shows there isn't enough hatred of Hillary to diminish her chances.

Hillary really has a shot, because she is the most conservative democrat, what, with trying to look pro-war and never proposing a health care plan.

QUOTE(Zebrahead @ Aug 4 2007, 07:20 PM) *

I'd choose Obama any day out of the year over Hillary, but I don't want either of them to be president.

Who do you WANT to be president?

I do. Compared to other candidates, I don't think it's outrageous to say she's the least likable. Sure, there are people who don't think Obama is the best candidate, but there aren't millions of people who hate him, either.

See that's what I admire about Obama, actually. He doesn't care about that shit as much - he just fucking answers the question and gets on with it. Not as much o' that beating around the bush shit that pisses me off about politics.

Have you seen any of the debates where they actually throw stiff questions at him? He does the same thing, like when they did it with illegal immigration questions and about giving them driver's licenses. He said a whole lot of nothing on that when they were fielded at him a few debates back.

IDK what's the big deal with Obama. I mean he made a good speech at the DNC a couple years ago, but how did he get that spot? How did he rise up so fast? It's just so weird.
Usurper
He was able to rise up so fast because he's that damn good.

On that note, I'm tired of people who rant about lack of experience in government. You know who had experience? Bush. Hell, insert the names of almost any bad president in that answer. It's something that's nice to have, but in no way a necessity to run the country.
