Are the freemasons and "illuminati" on the same level? Free masons are more of a historical party that many of the founding fathers belonged too. Even then, it wasn't the group that ran anything. I would feel entirely confident in saying that there is no secret organization running anything.

I don't think there is anything to that theory.

Maybe they do to an extent (if they exist, of course) but I highly doubt there's a one centralized government that controls everything. I'm sure that even if there are 'higher' levels of government going on behidn the scenes, there's probably some competition going on there too. Hard to believe that there'd just be one handful of people with the same beliefs and plans for the future and no one to challenge them. And even if thats true, theyll die one day and be replaced by people that may have differing beliefs. In the end it still wouldnt be all that different from the government feuds we see every day.

I actually just saw something about the Masons the other night. I was pretty curious since I dated a girl for awhile who was a Daughter of Job, and her father had offered to sponsor me if I'd wanted to become a Mason myself. I found the whole thing rather creepy, so I declined. But there were some interesting stories that lacked complete explanations.

Those are just links to the original stories, there's not much mention of some of the conspiracy stuff. I just dragged myself out of bed and am a little too out of it still to look around properly, but for anyone interested, they were intriguing stories.

The Masons are basically just a social group, though, similar to the Moose Lodge, I guess, but it's more private and open only to choice people. I guess it's the Oink to the Moose Lodge's Mininova, if that makes any sense. They help each other out a lot, and share resources with one another. (i.e. if there's a dentist at the local Masonic Temple, local Masons get free dental care) I remember all the Mason parties used to be held in the basement of this funeral home. The guy had a few bowling lanes, arcade games, and even a small carousel down there, and once or twice they held parties when there were funerals going on up top.

I think their propensity to help each other out and the powerful people who have been Masons in the past has lead to stuff that would make people ensure that their tinfoil hats are adjusted properly, but I don't think it's anything substantial, and certainly not a global power trip.

I think there are some secrets and obviously it's creepy, but if you look at it they have metaphysical beliefs which probably lead to some of the reasons people think of it like they do.

I think that big business controls the world. Like McDonalds, Microsoft, OPEC, that kind of shit. They have so much lobbying power and control over what you use and consume that they are the most powerful.
