It's funny, cuz usually, I don't do Black Friday since it requires getting up early. Last night I stayed up all night because I couldn't sleep, so I could have gone out.

Oh well. No money this year because I spent it all on plane tickets last week.

Sad face.

I went to Staples and they didn't have anything I was looking for so I just ordered from their website (at like 9AM EST) with free shipping....it was a lot easier O_o

Oh, that's awesome. I was just wondering last night if websites honored the Black Friday tradition or not.

I went to Best Buy this morning at 3:30 hoping to gain some ground on the line... nope. I almost bought Arrested Development season 3 and The Office season 1 but the line to checkout was so goddamn long I said fuck that. I went to Target after that and got Seinfeld 1 and 2 for 20 bucks. Not bad.

EDIT - I don't know how to read.

Got to a Toys R US at 4:20, around 20 people ahead of me. By 5, around 30 in back of me. I snagged the last Wiimote, but no Wiis there. Said they were supposed to get a shipment.

Went to the Gamestop at 5:50, around 20 people in front of me. They said they only have 6 Wiis, so alot of people just gave up and left. One of my friends got the last Wii. He had brought a sleeping bag, but I didn't ask him how long he'd been there.

So I went to the EBGames at 6:30 where I know they weren't getting any. There were 5 people in line for something I new wasn't there, so I said they're weren't any. They didn't believe me until a worker came and said so. They still weren't leaving. Then I wen't back to the Gamestop because I dropped a glove in the parking lot and had to get it back. The line at Gamestop had doubled in since in about 20 minutes.

So I got back to EB when they opened, and people were just mulling around, seeing if they was a Wii or PS3 there. A few bought a 360 instead when they came for a PS3. I decided to sit and watch while playing the Wii kiosk. At 8, when everyone left, I asked them when they think they could get a shipment. They said they didn't know, but they think they will be at least be getting 1 small shipment over the weekend, or possibly today. The guy working there said to me (because I'm such a well respected customer) that if they had only one Wii, he would of told the original group of people that they didn't have any, and given it to me. And that's why its good to know the people working there, because he also gave me one of the Reggie shirts.

Currently, I just have one remote and Zelda, mocking me. I may go over to my friend's and play there.

Forgive the newb - "Black Friday"?

I don't know if you have this overseas, but Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving, the biggest shopping day of the year. Almost every store opens super early and has INSANE sales. I think it was Staples (maybe Best Buy [electronics stores]) was selling a 400 GB HD for $99. For anyone that works retail, Black Friday is the equivalent of the end of the world.

I bought Lindsey's Christmas gifts today. 2 Pairs of earings (she has 4 piercings) Black Onyx Studs and the second pair is small hoops and off the hoops hang 3 onyx stones on each. I also bought the supplies to make her scrapbook too. I think she'll like it.

Edit: http://www.amazon.com/Yellow-Genuine-Round...8&s=jewelry

Those are the studs.

The dangling look similar to that except its a thin gold hoop and the stones are onyx.

I snagged a 250GB hard drive for $50 with no rebates. (They're annoying, if you ask me.) My friend picked up a 22" Widescreen LCD monitor for $199, a 512 MB Radeon X1600 Pro for $99, and a San Disk Cruzer for $29.

We showed up at Bestbuy at 3:30 am and there were already around 200 people there. We turned around, went for breakfast, and came back at around 4:30 and got in line. BB opened up at 5 and we were in by 5:15.
