Going down to my hometown tomorrow to hang with the friends I haven't seen since the summer, and we'll probably be drinking. I'm pretty sure I know what hard alcohol I want (vodka and tequila) but I would like to try some beer. I've tried a couple of different ones, but none of them were really great, and just became a chore to drink after awhile. I've tried:

Regular Bud (pretty nasty)
Natty Light (nasty after one beer)
Corona (don't really remember much about this one, but from what I do remember it tasted okay)

Any suggestions? I would probably need a lighter tasting one, since I haven't liked much of the stuff I've tried before. Thanks for any suggestions.

When I first started drinking beer, I drank Corona. They're pretty tasty, just make sure you have lime.

I drink Heineken, Rolling Rock, Amstel Light, and occassionally Newcastle.

Heineken is a pretty good beer to start out with. Easy to develop a taste for. I always hear that Sam Adams is great, so that's worth a try. Haven't had it, personally.

Crap, forgot to mention, I have had Heineken, and it was the worse. It was extremely strong. I've heard that when you first start out, you should try a strong beer like that first though, then you move on to other stuff. Is that true?

All my friends trash Sam Adams, I don't know, it tastes like every other American beer to me.

I'm thinking Corona. The one time I had it, it was pretty good. Also thinking about Bud Select, I think I've had that too, and it was better than regular Bud at least...

Make sure you get some lime with the Corona, then.

Yea. The only positive thing about them though is that I can literally chug them like I do soda. Did three one time, in like a minute. That was fun.

pabst blue ribbon or pbr is the best beer ever and you should drink it always. Actually it is a pretty good generic beer

Labatt Blue is pretty badass too, I mean it will get you drunk in half the amount of beer as other beers.

If you can get it over there try Tooheys Extra Dry. It's a heavy beer, but it's extremely smooth. Goes down a treat.

I hate beer. All I know is what I've heard: Corona is good but a lime is definitely required. Steel Reserve tastes like shit but is cheap and gets you drunk rather quickly.

Don't hold me to either of those. The people who told me those things could have been lying. :/

Corona, nasty as fuck, tastes like piss. Add a lime and it tastes like lime flavored piss. If you wanna drink nasty beer, at least get Steel Reserve, it's like 2.50 and gets you drunk as fuck.

If you're drinking it for the flavor (lol), go with some Sam Adams Boston Lager or some Newcastle.

Corona is too skunky. Go with something like Newcastle Brown or Heineken.

Interesting Fact: Mexicans don't use the lime to flavor the beer, they use it to clean the mouth of the bottle, because it could be contaminated. And most mexicans do not drink corona, OR tecate. They drink Dos Equis.

I agree mostly with Lance. Corona is monkey piss. If you want flavor drink Newcastle or Harpoon or something, and if you just want to get drunk just drink Bud Lite or some even worse shit like Beast or Natty.
