I'm totally in danger of losing my account there if I don't upload enoughs soon. Was planning on uploading every single Yellowcard album but some bastard beat me to it so now I've got nothing. Not my fault that Japanese music torrents never need fucking seeders...

Anyway. Like I asked in in the topic title: Are there any sites out that have as much stuff as oink does, but with less strict rules? I mainly on use it for getting J-stuff but every once in a while they've got interesting apps and shit.
Kefka
Yeah, OiNK's ratio shit is nice on paper, but in the real world, it's fucking lamer than shit. I also have the same problem, no one else downloads the music I listen to, so I can seed allllllll I want and my ratio will never go up. Fucking niggers.

They're about 1/10th as good but you can look for albums on isohunt or piratebay or something. Not for you, though, since you're looking for Japanese music. You're just shit out of luck.
Zombie N-Word
Blast. Guess I might have to try using IRC for my J-music needs.

Meh. I hate leeches.

Besides, after the rule changes, they're like a million times less stringent.

It's really not lamer than shit cuz in the real world, you fucking should give back what you take.

It's hard to give back shit no one else wants

Did you even read what I said after that? I seed the shit out of everything and it still classifies as leeching. Nothing I can do about it - I do give it back, it's just that nobody takes. OiNK already has everything* so I can't upload any of my albums because they already have them.

*an exaggeration

Well, the only solution is to get new shit elsewhere and/or buy more cds (or just seed forever and ever and ever). And if you ever do get a chance to upload your own rips, up them in both flac and V0 to get the most upload credit.

I sometimes seed albums for months and dont get shit uploaded on them, but on at least 10% of them I'll get a decent ratio on if not more.

Wth my own torrents, I always get a fair amount of shit.

They aren't asking for anything close to 1:1 anymore...those requirements are about as lenient as it gets without being fucking retarded.
Spencer
you do have to have a .95 ratio and be a "power user+" i believe to be able to upload, though.

you could always check your library's online database against oink's list of torrents and then rip a cd from the library and post it on oink. easy, free, and you could probably find some music from the library you enjoy
Bolt
I have something like a 120 gig differential, so if you want me to download something from you I will. As long as it doesn't suck ass.

No, anybody can upload, unless you did something dumb and lost the ability to.

This is a good idea.

Anyone can upload, it's partly how I got my 5-something ratio within 3 or 4 months of being a member.

Oh. I thought they were still doing 1:1, I haven't paid much attention since I remade my account. laugh.gif

I try to seed a lot but my dad unplugs my cord from the router when I'm not home so he gets a better connection to play his games. laugh.gif

demonoid.com is a good site.

Yeah, I use Demonoid a lot but their J-music section is severely lacking.
Svyatogornyj
There are probably lots of DC++ hubs that focus on J-music. Try searching there.

Someone just added this on LL:

Yeah, my reaction exactly. I cried a little bit when I found the Rip Slyme. I love Rip Slyme.

Also if anyone wanna help me out with downloading some of my oink stuff >_>:

Both of them are comics, but I'm sure some of you might like them.

I'm snagging them now, I'll upload them for you when they're done.

EDIT: Also, for anyone checking out those Japanese uploads, I recommend Anoice, Angel'in Heavy Syrup, Mono, Otomo Yoshihide & Thee Michelle Gun Elephant (the greatest, catchiest garage rock band ever).

Thanks. And I'll defintely check out those bands...but for now I've just realized that the hip-hop board on that site is a treasure trove of albums
