Na, I think his Bankai is enough. Although I do like that kid Arrannar's ability.

He didn't NEED to persay, as much as he needed to protect Nell. He probably could have won without it.

Also, we don't know what position this guy was in when he was kicked out. IIRC, once an Espada comes to take your position, you don't just move down a rank, you're kicked out even if you're stronger than the person who was ranked below you. He could have been number 1, and then got kicked out even though he could have been number 2.

That probably isn't true though, but still...

He probably could've won without it, but he also couldn't beat Grimmjow without going Vaizard (and even then still didn't, but probably could've given enough time) and GJ hadn't even released. A released GJ would pwn Vaizard Ichigo and he's only the 6th Espada.

Ichigo needs to train to either learn more moves for his Bankai (or even Shikai) from Zangetsu, or try to learn from his Hollow form, maybe even learning to let it out since Ichigo seems to be even stronger than his Vaizard form when it takes him over.

I'm willing to bet that the guy that Ichigo just beat was a 3 espada. Because his number was 103.

Let me say, if you don't watch the filler, at least get ep 106 just to watch the opening and ending.

The movie preview was pretty cool. It's supposed to take place at the same time the Bounto arc does, but since they're both non-canonical/filler it doesn't really matter. It certainly does look better than the current filler, there has been some really shoddy animation in the filler.

I can't wait for the movie. December 16 can't come any faster.

What do you guys think will happen after the Hueco Mundo arc? A lot of people are suggesting that there will be a "Hell rescue" arc given Tite's apparent love of rescuing someone from varying places.

A lot of people have suggested that Urahara will be the main villain, which I hope is true, because I've been speculating that since he showed up.

To be honest, I think that the series will end with the Winter War. There's really nowhere else to go in terms of gaining new powers to fight new foes, Ichigo will have reached his limit once he masters his Bankai by talking to his sword some more and masters his Vaizard powers by learning more about his Hollow. Unless they find a way to combine Quincy powers with Shinigami or Hollow...

The Hueco Mundo arc has a lot of room to build up to the war, and then we have the entire war itself, along with answering a lot of unanswered questions and a ton of room for character development. A Hell arc wouldn't really make sense because they don't really have any place in the balance of souls, humans, and hollows. They just collect the evil souls and that's it.

Thank god that the filler is over now. Arrancar Arc, here we come!

Wikipedia is never reliable for upcoming episodes, fakes get posted all the time. I do know that the fillers were confirmed to be ending soon, so these might be correct.

They are in fact, correct. They come from ANN, and it was confirmed in the latest issue of Jump. Next episode on January 5th or so will be a transition episode, and the one after that will be the first actual episode of the arc.

Well that's fantastic news. Now I can stop reading the manga until the anime stops again, then I'll have a lot of material to read at once.

January 10th or something like that. It's the anime makers fault for starting it up too early, they got really really close to the manga.

In fact its this new episode 109, we get to see the first Vizard, Hirako Shinji, and an Arrancar. From the screenshots anyway, the sub isn't out yet.

I was under the impression that 109 was just a sort of bridge between the filler and manga material, a special of sorts maybe outlining some of the coming new characters. It's possible that he appears at the very end of the ep?

Well I haven't seen it yet either but it shows the Vizard at like the very last few seconds and then the preview for the 110 episode will have some Arrancars, hopefully.

Keeping in mind that I haven't read the bleach manga, how long is the next arc supposed to be, just out of curiosity?

Know one knows. I believe that the arc in the manga isn't even finished yet, so we'll probably have a couple mod soul/Don Kanonji (or whatever his name is) filler episodes depending on how quickly they go.

Yeah the current arc isn't finished yet, unless you consider the sort of "mini-arcs" within it to be full arcs. I bet there will be training filler too, if you've read the manga you know when I'm talking about.

I loved episode 110, so glad to see a real episode again. I forget how short the anime is though, for some reason I was expecting a lot more to happen at once since I know what has gone on in the manga, but I realize it can't work out that way.

I can't wait to see some awesome Bankais released.

Yea I can't wait actually for the manga to show more of the character that "saves" Kon.

From what I heard, they blew through three manga chapters in that one episode, so that says more about the pacing of the manga more than anything else.

But 110 was great, it's good to see it out of filler. And I can't wait for him to show up and pwn Grand Fisher.

I read that the average is about 2.5 chapters an episode, and since this was the first new episode of the arc I assume they wanted to get a running start into the story.

It actually wouldn't surprise me if they threw in another filler arc. You know, since Ran Tao and that Bound are still alive.

It seems they threw in the mod souls in episode 111, even though it is a regular story arc episode. I will say, however, that not having read the manga and then seeing Isshin was a nice surprise. I think I may pick up reading the manga again. I stopped right after the Soul Society Arc in the manga, but I can't remember what chapter it was. Anyone know? Also, what fan group is currently translating the manga, so that I may download it from them?

Yup, Isshin is totally a badass. I hope at some point Tite Kubo decides to show Isshin's shikai and bankai at some point, because they must be badass. Ryuuken reminds me of Byakuya with the attitude and all. Definitely what Ishida wishes he could be.

Annoyed that there are filler Mod Souls in my manga arc though =/.

Those mod souls better GTFO of my canon anime. And the flashbacks to the filler arc weren't cool either.

I watched from episode 1 through maybe 21 or so. At that point I just gave up. Plot holes, good story but the way they go about is just retarded (No offense), and every episode was essentially the same.

None of that even makes sense. How is every episode the same exactly, and what are these plot holes you speak of? I'd understand if you were only on like episode 10 and thought they were all the same because they're just fighting various Hollows on earth, but you're already into the Soul Society arc which actually has a large variety of different subplots, locations, characters, fights, etc.

Honestly, I couldn't even give you specific examples it was so long ago. I just remember giving up on it because I thought it was so dumb. But really, don't be offended by my opinions which aren't even supported. I hate DBZ, Gundum, Naruto...

DBZ gets too much now a days. All the anime fans like to act like they're too mature for it now when they know that probably 90% of them started anime with DBZ. It hasn't stood the test of time very well, it was a very entertaining anime for younger kids.

I still think the manga material is pretty awesome. If someone could do a custom edit of DBZ by taking out all of the filler and cutting out the excessive charging up of attacks scenes then the anime would be pretty awesome in my opinion. But that's cutting out probably half of the material, and it would take a lot of time and effort to make it work.

Dude, that would be like, two short seasons of straight fighting and yelling.

EDIT: Dudes, 114 was so tight. I am fucking ready for the next 2-3 episodes.

115 was a lot of explanation, some re-coverage, and exploring the kind of enemy they're up against, with a nice spot of OMGWTFHAX at the end.

The Bleach Wii game. I hear mixed reactions about it.

Pros: Err... haven't played it, but it looks awesome!
Cons: Not going to come out here until the Vizard show up on Cartoon Network.
