Now that barely anything coming out for the rest of the year interests me [Pretty much limited to
The Fountain, Inland Empire, and maybe
Children of Men], I've been looking into what comes out next year, and I'm pretty excited about some of the releases that are early in the year:
InterestedThe Host [1/29]
Rogue [2/2]
The Wind That Shakes the Barley [3/2]
Zodiac [3/2]
Hot Fuzz [3/9]
Rescue Dawn [3/30]
Grindhouse [4/6]
Offside [4/6]
Spider-Man 3 [5/4]
Kind of InterestedThe Hitcher [1/19] [I like the original and though I'm uneasy about a remake of it I like Sean Bean]
300 [3/9]
Sunshine [3/16] [I think
28 Days Later is pretty overrated but I'll probably watch Cillian Murphy in anything and Boyle's a pretty good director]
Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End [5/25] [even though I really disliked the second one]
Knocked Up [7/1] [Judd Apatow's followup to
40 Year Old Virgin]
Live Free or Die Hard [it's fucking
Die Hard, yippie ki-yay motherfucker]
Ratatouille [6/29] [still have confidence in Pixar though I didn't like
Cars]
You guys excited about any 2007 releases? Some other notable ones that aren't in the first half of the year are the new Harry Potter, the Simpsons movie,
Transformers, etc., but feel free to look through release lists. I used the IMDb one
here for ridiculous specificity and the one
here to skim the main releases month-by-month.

Spider Man 3. That's pretty much it until I see more trailers.

I thought it was coming out this year too but the only date IMDb gives is March 2nd next year, and since it specifies limited release I imagine it won't be released by the end of the year, assuming they don't just do one of those NY/LA releases. Which are
gay.

I own all of the Harry Potter movies. I don't like that they keep changing directors, and I am disappointed in every one of the movies, but I look forward to the new one nonetheless.
Edit: Oh man, I had no idea The Golden Compass was being made (or has already been made) into a movie. I guess I can add that to my list, at least until I see the trailer. If it looks too childish, I might get mad and not want to see it.

Oh, yeah, I forgot the Golden Compass and Persepolis.

I just thought the whole thing was kind of lame, not as funny or entertaining as the other Pixar movies. Certainly pretty though.
EDIT: Also I seem to prefer the Pixar movies that take place in the human world [whether or not they're the main characters], and this was a world populated by cars, which wasn't as fun for me.

Grindhouse
Spider-Man 3
300
Hot Fuzz
Live Free or Die Hard
The Host
Zodiac
Smokin' Aces
Sin City 2 (if it comes out)
I think that's it. I'll probably watch the Stones documentary only because Scorsese is doing it.

Since Sin City 2 hasn't even started production really I doubt it'll come out in 2007, but if it does I'll be all over that I'm sure.
Another movie I completely forgot since it doesn't have a date, and one that will likely come out in 2007 since it's already post-production unless no one picks it up, is Michel Gondry's Be Kind Rewind. Really excited for that one.

That's the reason I left Sin City 2 off my list. I actually only put in titles that had dates slated for 07 myself. But if Sin City 2 somehow comes out in 07, Ill be all over that on day one.
