I just read The Stranger for school and I couldn't put it down. I read it in a day. Today I picked up the book that sets up The Stranger, A Happy Death. I haven't started yet, but its not big so I also plan to finish it in a day or so.

That reminds me, I picked up an old paperback copy of The Plague at the Salvation Army and I haven't even opened it yet.

I had to do an in-depth analysis of "The Guest" for my English class. It was great.
If you're really into existentialism, try reading "Invisible Man." It's not as blatantly existentialist, but it's my new favorite book and I'm forcing everyone to read it.

So I started reading The Plague and I gotta say I like his ideas but his style is sooo dry. It's a good thing reading keeps me awake, because this would have put me to sleep. But I'm still reading it, for some reason. It's strangely compelling. I think his strong points are when he's getting to the meat of his concepts and his symbols and not being all long-winded about the same damn topic for six pages. His rants are boring, his dialogue and character interaction is great.
I'm about halfway through, almost to part III. I'll post if my opinion changes.
