I think that worked out pretty well for me...especially since I was going to fold before the flop.
Mr. Mojo Risin'
You could've been worried about the straight possibilities...but that really depends on how your opponent plays and how you read him, plus it's not like there were four cards to it there.

I kind of miss online poker.

Yay!

Yeah, slowplaying is different, what you did was trap on that 1st hand. On the 2nd hand it looks like you just dominated with top pair, and flush draw. Good play!

I didn't want to bet too much to make everyone fold...but I wanted more money.

The problem is that's what you're telling people when you min-bet. Sure, it depends alot on your image and the table that you're at but I'd be more apt to make a larger bet that says "lol I'm stealing the pot guys" in the hopes that someone would call.

To slowplay is to trap... rolleyes.gif

First hand is pretty much exactly how I'd play it. Fortuitous flop, the other guy can't be expecting that set, especailly how you played it. If I were him, though, I would have played it differently. I would have reraised after your raise on 4th street to see just how strong you thought your hand was, and saved myself the $5 on the river. tongue.gif

I wouldn't even have come-in on the second hand without the benefit of a blind. Your opponent should have known better than to try to keep semi-bluffing his weak pair after the raise on 4th street, but nice hand.

Third hand looks like a pretty standard play to me. I know its low stakes and all, but after all those loose calls on 4th street, I may have tried a slightly weaker bet on the river UTG, hoping that someone hit a boat (which they did,) sense weakness in my bet, and try to hammer me out of the pot.

I think I need to go back to online poker. so much fun.
good time killer.

It's gonna be one of those days, I can feel it...

Way to sit on that set with two overbets and a straight draw on the board, asshole.

EDIT: Maybe not, won it all back.

IPB Image

EDIT 2: Sitting on $6125 right now in 9th position, and the guy who took all my chips earlier just got knocked out. Even if, by some chance, I don't money, this has been a moral victory.
