The Rey 619 was seriously the only good thing about the episode.

I don't care what anyone says.. This season has been absolutely terrible thus far. I really loved the first season and I keep trying to give this season a chance but it just has disappointed on a constant basis in every episode thus far.

I am really hoping it picks up now since they have a new major villain apparently. I really really hope it picks up because I'm gradually losing faith in the show right now and that first season was really damn good tv.

Wait, what was the REY 619 thing again?

There's a wrestler named Rey Mysterio Jr. who has a move called the 619. After Micah hacked the TV to get the wrestling pay-per-view event to appear for his cousin, Monica watches him perform the move and later uses a variation of it to thwart the would-be thief.

Smackdown vs. Raw '07 version of it. The little whirly kick thing he does when dude's caught up in the ropes

No. Angela is Hiro's mom. They've gone out of the way to mention that there was a significant affair between Hiro's dad and Angela several times in the past few episodes, I'm speculating that there has to be some meaning to that.

I didn't like this episode a whole lot. Nothing much happened. At least Peter is going to go kick some ass now.

I was really concerned that Matt's dad was going to be lame, but today's episode totally changed that. His power is fucking awesome, and he's a manipulative little shit. And it shows what kind of potential Matt has in the future with his power.

I was really hoping Bob was going to turn Nikki into gold when she had him by the throat tongue.gif

Oh, and Kristen Bell's character is vicious...I'm glad they're mixing it up a bit with the evil characters this season.

I admit it was nice to see Matt graduate from mind reading to full telepathy.

This episode was cool.

I still don't get what the hell Hiro is doing....or why he stayed...for the chick? Not very heroic of him to steal a chick when he's always talking about saving the world, and here he is trying to tag along with history for shits of giggles.

Sounds like lightning girl's dad is whoever runs the company? In which case, according to the possibly wrong Mohinder, the bald guy who can turn shit to gold? Or at least someone else who makes important decisions, but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out

I didn't think about this before, but I like that there are people who are in no way connected that can have the same power (West and Nathan)...kinda opens up the possibility of these powers becoming a major thing for humanity (if the show ever crawls to that point)

Pretty good episode.

Parkman's dad, what a little bitch. It was pretty funny though that Matt and Nathan were beating each other up.

What was Nikki up to, I wonder?

Mohinder is gonna get into some shit, I can see it.

Hiro stayed because he wants to make certain history goes how it should. He has no designs on the swordsmith's daughter; he's encouraging the relationship between her and Kensei. Besides, who wouldn't love the chance to live alongside their childhood hero?

I wouldn't mind living alongside my childhood hero if I were Hiro, but not in the situation he's in right now.

There are a lot more important things in the present he could be doing with his powers to help people out.

Not to mention don't you remember the episode where he meets that girl in the diner, the redhead who was really smart. Well she gets killed by Sylar, Hiro goes back in time to stop it, she dies of cancer...meaning he can't change the past, only the future. So....I'm pretty sure, unless the show is backtracking on their messages, that the two lovebirds are going to succeed and what not with or without hiro.

That's the point. He's not changing the past, he's helping it complete itself, if that makes sense. Like, would Kensei be a badass if Hiro hadn't gone back in time? No story ever said anything about Hiro and that girl, so he's gotta hold out.
Master Bob
Yea . . . then there's tonights episode . . . . Kensei's true side comes out.
Ender Wiggin
After the last 5-10 min of the episode I'm really confused now, especially after watching the preview for next week's episode. That could be because I wasn't paying very good attention to tonight's show though.

So the impending threats for the Heroes now are:

- Guy killing all of the important people
- Hiro fucking up the past
- The virus

Is that it? I'm assuming the future Peter teleported to is fucked up due to the spread of the virus, hence the evacuation notice they find. I'm not sure what consequences Hiro's interference will have on things...

Also, did anyone get a good look at all of the paintings in the warehouse? I saw one of Mohinder with a gun, one of Hiro and Kensei clashing, and one of who I think was Peter with the all-white eyes.

Also, why did Bob assign Nikki to help Mohinder, what is the "threat" that Bob needs to do rapid testing of the virus for to help deal with, and who is this Adam guy that left Peter a note and whose file Bob had?
brandotron
Bob has Nikki keeping Mohinder in line, and so far it sounds like the threat is this Adam guy. We know pretty much nothing about Adam though.
Krystal
Good job, Hiro. Screw that honky, you needed some action. Maybe Hiro will take all the credit for what Kensei did afterall?

She seemed a little too bitchy to be Nikki, I'm thinking it's Jessica. ohmy.gif

Who is Adam!?
brandotron
Well, if they're letting Nikki walk around as she pleases, I'm assuming they've dealt with the Jessica thing, meaning having integrated the separate personalities. So she's Nikki, plus the qualities that manifested in Jessica. Or something. I dunno.

Spoilers...

Supposedly the name that Kensei takes up later on. Which would be a plot hole, considering Kensei's power is regeneration/immortality, not some kind of psychic power which was used on Angela Petrelli.
Zombie N-Word
I don't know why everyone keeps saying Hiro is fucking with the past. At this point I think it's pretty obvious that things are happening the way they were supposed to. Hell, one point I keep going back to with my friends is that none of the artistic depictions of Kensei seen in the show are of a white guy, they're of a Japanese guy with a soul patch (who future Hiro greatly resembles)

Pretty sure he's gonna defeat whitebeard, whoop Kensei's ass (somehow) and become the Takezo Kensei of legend, returning the present only after the death of Yaeko (we all know that's how it's got to go down)

Other points:

Something about Bob's change of heart seemed horribly fishy to me.

Mohinder is probably behind that whole 99.3% of the population being dead.

Just because it hasn't been explained automatically makes it a plothole? You don't think it's possible that he might have other powers or be like Peter/Sylar in being able to absorb others? Or that someone else attacked Angela?
Da Bears
Ugh, is the same Adam that left Peter that note the same Adam "Monroe" that Bob was holding in that file?

It doesn't even seem like the answers to that note left for Peter are going to be answered ever...another thing the show brings up and then just drops behind after a few episodes.

And was Peter and the irish girl in the trap of Parkman's dad and he created another illusion? What was with that?

And now Mohinder is under Nikki/Jessica's control which is lame because he already was whiny bitch, Bob could have taken him out and forced him on his own.

And jesus christ, what do you know...another episode that juts piles on more questions. This show is starting to turn into Lost, I enjoy it...but it's just going in a constant circle of questions not being answered. I gave up on lost in the third season, looks like I might be doing the same with this show soon....maybe mini series aren't meant for me. This show reminds me of the one aspect of Dragon Ball Z I hated when I was younger, there's a lot of standing around close up face shots of serious puzzled expressions and no one talking or doing anything.

This episode was so lame and nothing cool happened.

When I saw slow, I mean not answering questions. Which is parallel to too many questions being introduced when old ones aren't being answered.

We still don't even know what "the company's" intentions are and who they are what they are trying to do.

Remember when we though LInderman was behind it all and when we met him answers would be met? Nah, he was a nobody apparently, and they still are yet to reveal shit. Like they make it seem like situation or person X is important and will give some answers, but it never ends up working that way. The plot hasn't progressed at all. They haven't even really talked about this huge pandemic of a virus...we just know there is a virus and it can kill people.

I know suspense is a great way to keep fans, but it's also a great way to ruin a show. Look at Lost, I hear Prison Break has gone astray in the later episodes. I'm not saying the show isn't fun to watch, but it's just frustrating sometimes. Lack of plot progression is why Entourage is kind of sucking now as well. It's still fun to watch, but it's not as good as it was. Weeds finds way to make the plot move forward, there show seems to still be going up after 3 seasons.

It seems like they are just filling in shit that never leads to any plot progression.

We know a hell of a lot more about the company now than we did last season.

What else do you want to know about the virus? It only targets people with abilities for now and it kills them. The company is experimenting trying to find a vaccine as well as mutate a strain that will take away abilities but not kill the host. Mohinder is convinced that the virus will cross over to the regular population, and clearly it does as seen by Peter and the Irish chick.

The company's intentions are to track and keep watch over the people in the world with abilities, study them like lab rats, and learn from that information as much as possible. I'm sure Linderman will be revisited, especially with that "group" being so important this season. He was FAR from a nobody and I guarantee we learn a lot more about his past and what things he's been responsible for.

Also, Lost is far from ruined. Lost is awesome.

Oh man, I dozed off at school today and had a dream about Heroes. It was Kensei, but somehow he was in the present time and really badly wounded. Claire was there too and was like, "Oh my god, are you ok?" and then he regenerated and scared the shit out of her. So Claire was really freaked out to find someone with the same ability, and they were chatting about it for awhile. Finally she asked him what his name was, and he told her that his name was Adam. At that point I woke myself up and wrote down "Kensei is Adam" in my notebook because I thought maybe I was onto something. ohmy.gif
