My friend Cristy is having people over to her apartment on campus. Apparently it's semi-formal attire (suits for guys, whatever the hell that means for the wimins), and there will be copious amounts of alcoholic beverages to be consumed by all. We're expecting about a dozen people, should be good times.

I can get into a Local H show a few blocks from my house for free, my old boss is an uncle for one of the guys in the band and he can get me on the "list" but I'm not sure two hours of Local H is worth free liquor or not.

I wish I could hoof it. I live a half hour cab ride from any of the decent bars. That would be a hell of a walk.

Yeah this is the reason I go stay with friends! Though these days the walk back to theirs takes me the better part of an hour. I miss drinking. You used to get time to sober up and get some fresh air. The wind would blow all the smoke scent out of your hair as well. Now smoking is banned for everyone and I am banned off the booze it isn't nearly as much fun. A nice man did pick me up and put me back on my feet when I fell over though.

wish i could head out with friends. but i guess family traditions can be fun too. going to my cousin's place for a family party, which means drunken gambling for all!

Which I can see not happening. They are closed today and tomorrow. Nate works from 1-9 on Tuesday, so he can only go get it before 1 on Tuesday. But I am sure most liquor stores don't open too early around here, so we might be pushin' it with time.
