He would have won if it weren't for the flop (last card shown)
The flop is the first three cards, the last card is the river.
He probably lost that hand before the cards were even dealt. You should almost always hammer jacks pre-flop, they're a hell of a lot weaker than they look. Jacks are a hand you want to win pre-flop, or in worst case, end up heads up in a showdown situation with, where Jacks are a lot stronger. If the guy still called, then he should have hammered the flop as well, hoping either that he's a fish who's going to call a pocket pair or hit two pair on the flop (the only ways he would call two giant bets) or just fold and give him the pre-flop action. There would be no point in slow-playing post-flop if you hammered the opening bets. Unless the other guy was a complete donkey who calls anything down to the river, that hand never should have seen forth street. If that's the case, I'd move up in antes as soon as possible, since it's impossible to play poker with people like that.

Yes there was mad action preflop, and I went all in on the flop. Maybe I shouldn't have pot committed him before the flop.
In that case he's a huge idiot, and you can take comfort in the fact that he didn't hold onto those chips very long.
EDIT: I think you played it well if you hammered the pot pre-flop. He's the idiot who kept playing with a weak-ass hand like that.
I'm guessing it was low-ante/freeroll?
