Full Version: Naruto fillers finally ending!

For anyone who still follows Naruto, apparently Kishimoto has reported in the latest issue of Shonen Jump that the fillers will end in March. This will have been pretty much a full year of filler material that has been running. Personally, I never watched any of the filler but I've heard awful things about it. I've been keeping up with the manga though, and I can't wait for some of the fights to be animated.
Shawn
Almost a year and a half more like it.
Codeman
lol not to mention a movie even? (I'm not up to date with Naruto)
Ender Wiggin
There's 3 movies out now in Japan and 2 of them have been released on DVD and translated/released online. Actually, the 3rd might not be out in Japan yet, I'm not sure.

Naruto sucks anyways.

At least the Bleach filler has an actual plotline between episodes, crappy as it may be =/.

90% of the naruto filler has been a storyline. The Star country, this current escort mission, the Lightning guy, etc. It all hasn't been linked, if that's what you mean.

It's not fair to judge an anime by its filler. The actual series is great.

I know that. But I still am not a fan. To each his own.

Grats on the filler ending soon. Hopefully the same will happen for Bleach.
Shawn
March is far from soon though.
Codeman
Money down that they delay it again.

Why would you even suggest such a terrible thing?

Finally. I've been wanting to see this crap animated for the longest time. There had better not be any long stretches of filler for at lesst as long as the filler was running.

Chances are he's right.

So they end in March, that makes what, close to two years of fillers? That's just crap. I stopped watching once they started the fillers. Hopefully they won't be delayed any longer.

Fillers started in the late Fall of 2005. So not any more than a year and a half. And yeah it sucks, but what else are they supposed to do when they catch up to the manga?

I thing I think they should have done, is made up what happened with training during the time jump. They know (or at least should have known) that it will never be shown, so they could essentially make up anything they wanted as long as the end result doesn't overwrite stuff already shown in the manga.

But the filler they did so was just stupid and unteresting, and since it was filler, I didn't even bother to watch it since I knew that nothing would matter in it. But making it take place during Naruto's training, showing him and Jiraya walking around and the stuff they probably got into in 2.5 years would have been a lot better than the crap they did show.

The problem is, it's possible that the manga will eventually elaborate on some of the training Naruto went through, especially concerning the infamous "that jutsu" mentioned in the manga. Not to mention that even training scenes of Naruto with Jiraya would be boring because it's not like they can show him learning new moves, so what is he going to be doing exactly for 50 episodes of training?
Auron
Fucking finally. At least in the 290 episodes of One Piece, you can't even notice the filler because it's actually good.
Asuka
I stopped watching episodes after the big battle between sasuke and Naruto and naruto is like dead. So uh, where do I pick up again if I want to minimize the fillers?

Hah, that is actually the correct place to leave off. Everything since then has been filler... I stopped watching at that point too, I'll give the new non-filler stuff a go. Which starts on Feb. 15th.

I guess we'll find out in a few days if I still find this stuff enjoyable or not.

You guys haven't been keeping up with the manga? Part 2 is all pretty epic so far.

The manga is going so fast now in terms of story development.
Ender Wiggin
That's a good thing though, it leaves the anime plenty of things to fill in so the manga can push forward without worrying about the anime catching up. I'm mad that they still aren't developing the other characters very well though, but what can you do. I'm happy Shikamaru got a lot of spotlight, at least.

For an update: The new stuff is out now. I'm downloading.
