My family is going to a friends house for Dinner, nothing too exciting.

We go to the grandparents house. Then usually to a party on my dad's side of the family.

Surprisingly, I'm not working. It's fucking amazing.

Probably nothing.

We often go to my great aunt's with my grandparents, uncle, some cousins, etc. They all eat lots of fish. Last year my cousin's wife's parents came who are German and they made this awesome wine that was red wine with spices and citrus rinds in it and then melted a sugar cone doused with 151 over the pot with the red wine so in the end it was a sweet, hot, fruity wine. Delicious.

I fly into Vegas lateish XMas eve.

Aunts house, sleeping there.

Opening presents with my friends. Tomorrow is what I'm really looking forward to. I get to open presents with my lady friend.

Opening my presents at home!!! And then going to my grandparents for a trad ukr Christmas. Including some druken Durak and somehow getting to church for midnight mass.

Watching carry on films with my great aunt.

I have work until 6pm (although we're going to try to get out early, at 3). Then we'll have some family/friends over for dinner on Christmas Eve. I'll put on the 24-hour A Christmas Story marathon, a tradition in my house, and fall asleep. Then presents yay.

Working the overnight as usual. Though there'll probably be a good deal more alcohol lying around here than there will be at home.

Wow that must suck for all of you that have to work, especially it being a sunday.

My mom's birthday actually falls on Christmas Eve, so cake and shit.

Except dad for me.

I will be going to Christmas Eve services. I'm atheist, but at my parents' church the minister is going to be retiring, and it's the last time he'll be doing Christmas Eve, so I kind of have to go.

Is he one of those "lets go home and open gifts" type ministers, or a "let's praise Jesus for the next two hours by reading Promethians passages until our eyes bleed" minister?

He's a "let's sing Christmas carols (some in German!) for a few hours and then call it a night" minister. Non-denominational church, so it's all pretty laid-back. I figure that if that didn't sit well with me, there's no way I can just be rebelling against religion.

My mother will probably call to remind me that Jesus is the reason for the season. Nate's mom is having friends over for dinner, so I'll spend the night hiding in our room.

Anyway, probably just hanging out with some family and eating dinner, watching movies, eating chips/dip and watching football... Then probably presents/money.

Spending time with family, that's about it.
