Full Version: I admit it, I am a huge nerd.

When I was in grade school, Star Trek TNG would be on TV between the time when I got home from school and when I ate dinner, so naturally I would watch it. Then, when I was older, it got replaced by Voyager, which sorta really sucked, and then there was no Star Trek on TV anymore and I totally forgot about it.

Until I got to college.

I had never had cable at home, so now TNG was suddenly available for like 6+ hours a day split between several different channels. My friends and I don't watch it terribly regularly, but we do like to watch and be gigantic nerds. We like to keep track of the number of women Riker gets it on with.

Did anyone else used to watch as a kid and/or still does? Favorite episodes?

Yes, I'm a nerd. You don't have to tell me. But I am also not rushing out to Star Trek conventions, so you can at least give me that.

I used to watch it with my mother. I love Picard to bits (I wanted him as my uncle.) If it swings by on the tv you will probably find me sneakily watching it. I did it see it recently it was a Troi's mother comes to visit episode though I couldn't tell you the name of it.

I haven't seen TNG on television for a while, but way back when it was on, I watched it with my mom all the time.

When I was 16 or so, my mother and I had cable for a while and they played Star Trek Voyager on UPN (lol) every morning at like 3. We watched every single episode together until they stopped showing it (which really wasn't too long after they started).

We were always sad that it wasn't TNG, but we were willing to take what we could get. Sadly, I can't really remember one single episode. I just remember a ton of stories all mashed together. I was usually pretty tired that early in the morning when I had to go to school.

I'll have to check TV Guide to see if it gets played here.

When I was little, I used to stay with my dad every other weekend in New Haven. On Saturday nights (I believe at 8), we'd sit down to watch the new episode of TNG and order pizza. Over time it has become one of my fondest childhood memories.

Also, that show kicked ass. Best Star Trek series, no question.

My dad watches Star Trek just about every morning on TV Land, but I've never seen an ep of any form of Star Trek.

When it was actually on and new episodes were appearing I will reluctantly admit to watching it. I haven't watched it since very often as I honestly hate Star Trek but I did watch The Next Generation when it was on in the last 80s early 90s.

I'd say I was a pretty big fan of it as a kid really.

It's the only Star Trek I like, honestly the only one I can stand but I always hated the second in command whos name I cant think of.

I hadda look it up before I posted this.. Riker, that dirty jew.

Anyway, tis the only one Ive ever liked.

Probably the only Star Trek I can actually sit, watch and enjoy.

I started watching TNG back when G4 started airing, been a trekkie ever since. I got a copy of the Star Trek Encyclopedia and now I look all their references and stuff. I tried getting into DS9 this summer, but I didn't get to see enough episodes. I'm going to give Voyager a shot now that it's on Spike.

Favorite episode of TNG was Darmok, bar none. Fucking awesome.

I haven't seen as much of TNG as I have of DS9, so I couldn't really say what my favorite episodes were, but yeah, I used to watch Star Trek all the time. If i had cable, I'd probably still be watching it.

*oh do stop that, it is just irritating.*

The only Star Trek I've seen any of was the one with Picard, Data, Jordie, Wharf, etc. And honestly I'm not positive they were all in the same one>_>

It just doesn't appeal to me too much. I always wished they would've had a Star Wars TV show. Although I'm not so sure in the past few years, since I saw how they made the prequels.

I did kinda like whatever Star Trek show it was that I saw. But that was a long time ago.

That's TNG.

DS9 sucked. I hated it.

I'm just starting to what that and the original series now that I'm in college. Spike is good for at least one thing.

Star Trek: TNG was amazing. I don't think I ever saw an episode I didn't like.

I never liked it as a kid, but I enjoyed what I've seen more recently a lot. Never thought to really pursue it, heh.
