Hello? Am I the only person whose Ventrilo requires a port number for a vent server?

3784, don't remember whether or not that comes hard coded into the client or not, but it's the default port.

just saw the linux, didn't notice in development. I know Teamspeak has a lackluster linux client, and that ventrillo's is supported under wine. that is all though.
I have Sara's cell number. I can talk to her wheneeever IIII waaaant.

I got it to work just now, but it's telling my the server is an empty host name. What's that mean?

That's really lame. Are there any other possible programs we could use? Being limited to 8 kind of sucks. Everyone is silent right now.

Dont all those WoW guilds out there use Vent? Are they on public servers in private channels, or is there some kind of workaround no one knows about?

I still say Userplane might be a good idea. It's free too. It has mic support, webcam support and a chat room.

Yea, need some mod powers to kick inactive people. Do they even have mod control in the free version? Shouldn't take up space if you don't have a mic either.

I agree with the mod powers inactive people suck thing. But I think it's okay to not have a mic. Some people have a broken mic, or want to get one but haven't had the chance. Plus, earlier, when Dei was in there, it was fun and she doesn't have a mic. I'd be sad if she couldn't come play.
Oh and the mod needs to also be able to kick people for being fucking annoying jackasses.
