UConn is getting shit for being such a young team, but that's the drive that will help them get over the sleepwalking during games that plagued them last year. This group of kids have nothing to lose.

I don't know if anyone's watching the Duke/Air Force game, but Dick Vitale is already showing off his amazing Duke bias.

I can't wait till these overrated teams fall out of the Top 25 so Illinois can get in there.

I'm going to have to agree with mrdude even though I'm a little biased. Duke is easily going to be just as good as last year because of how balanced the scoring is now. I think our freshmen might be leading the country in total freshman scoring average. Yes they're young and will make mistakes, but I think they'll gain experience over the course of the season very quickly.

Naaah. Duke is better this year than last year to me. I mean, last year it was all JJ and Shelden. I think we have more potential in the tourney because I knew all last year that JJ was going to fuck up like he always did. This team is young but amazingly talented. And what's the deal with Kansas. Ever since Roy left, that program has gone down the shit hole. They've lost twice in a row in the first round of the NCAA tourney and they lost to fucking Butler the other night. They have the talent, but that coach is overrated.
Bill Self is one of the most overrated coaches in the league, he can recruit but can't coach worth a shit. Even though we've lost a ton of guys since Self left, I'd take Weber over him any day.

Oregon's 5-0 with a date at Georgetown on the 29th. That should be a really good game.
Freshman phenom Tajuan Porter. Learn the name.

Nov 23 2006, 12:24 PM
UCLA has a really good chance to make it back to the Final Four this year, I've watched Georgia Tech a few times this year and they're damn good. Then UCLA just runs right over them.

Oh man, the Big Ten sucks ass this year.
Penn State lost to Stony Brook, Northwestern lost to Cornell, and Wisconsin lost to Missouri State. Wisconsin will probably recover, but I feel good about Illinois chances to do some damage this year.

Yeah, I heard he's a beast.
Btw, I have a question for anyone who lives in the Big Ten area. Have you heard anything about this Big Ten Channel that's coming out next year? Is it going to be for free? From what I hear it shows every Big Ten game not televised by CBS, ABC, or ESPN but I'm scared as hell of losing my ESPN+ Illinois games.

I wasn't really shocked that we lost to Maryland. They're just the better team, and Rich McBride hasn't done shit this year so we were probably expected to lose.
Oh well, won't be the only loss we have at home this year.

If it was a round robin tourney the ACC would still be at like a .650 winning percentage.

That's going to be a deadly ability once they have a lethal big man who will just kick it out when he gets double and triple teamed.

With the toughest part of the non-conference schedule behind us now, we could easily be 14-0 and close to the Top 10 when UCLA rolls into town on January 4. Here's hoping it happens.

9-1 and #6 but we're still really overrated. I'm not looking forward to our games against the better teams because our youth is really going to be exposed and we're going to drop significantly in the rankings. Actually, I am looking forward to going to the games, because Cameron will be nuts the entire time, but we're definitely not going to continue the success we have now.

I can see Illinois losing their next few games. Belmont we SHOULD take care of, but it's going to be a close call with Xavier and Missouri. Especially with Missouri, they've improved so much from last year.
